CURRENTLY RECEIVING APPLICATIONS FOR OPEN MINISTRY POSITIONS

1.     EXECUTIVE PASTOR

  • STATUS: Full Time

  • DESCRIPTION: This role is vital in what OKC Community is doing as we lean into the exciting and new work God is doing through the church and in our city. The title executive is slightly different in our context as the next chapter does not require executive oversight to a large staff or the management of established ministry programs, instead our story requires a strong leader with executive qualities and a desire to innovate, execute new strategies, and empower people as we join the Holy Spirit in His work to become a church who authentically lives into our unique call to be a place of peace and a church who truly brings life to our city. This role will serve with the lead pastor in the spiritual formation and community life of the entire church through the development of our Equip ministry, teaching, Alpha ministry, global and local missions, bringing life initiatives, and the all-important ‘etc...’

  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: (not required, but preferred qualifications)

    • Shared Values: a unified heart (not uniformed) for prayer, the church, vision, values, and core beliefs.

    • Spiritual Leadership: experience leading others spiritually and discipleship.

    • Experience: 1 or more years of working in church/ministry leadership.

    • Education: Biblical/ Theological education.

    • Skills: 1. Leadership: team building, strategic leadership, execution of vision, leader development. 2. Large group communication/ teaching. 3. Writing Competency. (written communication, ability to write various resources required with church leadership). 4. Computer and Technology Competency. (self-sufficient in your tech skills).

2.     MINISTRY ADMIN

  • STATUS: Part Time (approx 20 hours per week. full time option may be considered with the adding of an additional role).

  • DESCRIPTION: The Ministry Admin is an essential role to the life and rhythm of OKC Community. The Ministry Admin role supports much of the ongoing ministry of the church by primarily fulfilling the administrative needs to execute the ministry vision.  This person should hold deep conviction and love for the work of the church and have the heart and ability to fulfill large ministry tasks and needs as well as the smaller or behind the scenes needs and details of ministry. The Ministry Admin works primarily with the lead pastor, but will additionally work with the whole team through the wide range this role will touch. The role includes administrative oversight to things, such as: event management, people management (database upkeep, guest assimilation, etc…), and admin support for Sunday services, worship and prayer gatherings, Equip, Alpha, Next Step, special events, ministry care, church calendar, and the various ongoing needs of the church.

  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: (not required, but preferred qualifications)

    • Spiritual Leadership: experience leading others spiritually and discipleship.

    • Shared Values: a unified heart (not uniformed) for prayer, the church, vision, values, and core beliefs.

    • Experience: 1 or more years of working in professional environment.

    • Skills: 1. Administrative Skills: ability to manage many tasks at once and execute to completion. 2. Interpersonal Skills: ability to represent the heart of our church with the various people we interact with regularly: church members, guests, neighbors, partner and friend organizations. 3. Writing Competency. (ability to compose effective and professionally written communication). 4. Detail Oriented: finding joy in the details that when done well produce higher quality and intentionality. 5. Computer and Technology Competency. (self-sufficient in your tech skills). Must be able to proficiently work with Excel, Word, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Social Media. Will also work in Planning Center, Mail Chimp, and Squarespace (website).
